Back to work and back to work on form. At least work on form will distract from back to work- if you see what I mean.
Good training session yesterday. Had to list what had improved after my weekend blitz and I could write down about ten ways I have improved over last two months. These include better self knowledge along with improved workout skills. I always struggle with self knowledge about what different parts of my body are doing as I move. Some people suggest mirrors but I can find working out in front of a mirror confusing. Getting a feel for the move works better.
Had to show my TGU skills- not good as I have not really worked on get ups for months. So back to first stage get-up with no weights for me. I’m also working on swing form- making sure that I remember my core but also get those lats working. Lots of reach and roll and swinging. I just worry about the mistakes I don’t recognise myself making which won’t improve. I’ll do my best…
I’ve been asked to log my diet. I don’t need to lose much so this has to be about energy or protein. I don’t mind keeping a log because I always bring my diet back on track when I write it down and the feed back I’ve had in the past has been really useful.
The last conversation was about setting short term goals- this I find very useful. I am hoping to improve 16kg snatch stability and 12kg press technique over the next month.
