Last night (and for posterity)…
In 40 minutes, I ran 3.0 miles. 27 of those minutes was running at 5.0. 14:30 minutes was a consecutive run. That averages out to 13:34 minutes per mile. The full 3.1 miles was completed in 42 minutes. That averages out to a little less than a 14 minute mile.
I am feeling good. I would like to run 27 minutes straight, but that will come with time. Yes indeed, it will.
On another note…I am below the 250 lb. mark as of this morning. While I was giddy like a schoolgirl, the feeling quickly turned to “I never want to be above 250 again…” so I have been plotting about what I need to do and the fear of creeping up again has me going batty. While it is just a number, weight fluctuates for a variety of reasons, etc., etc., it is still a number that illustrates the progress I have been making. There is a component to it that rules my life! Sure, it sucks, but it is what I have (other than loose pants). Will the upward creeping of the scale when I have to0 much water throw me into a funk??!!
