Salad Power = Awesome Looking Hair!

One of the simplest and easiest ways to start feeling better and get in your raw veggies is to start eating salad.

I am not talking about the lame-O salad.  The girl who orders the salad and its a plate of gloom.  Salad little ice burg lettuce with some torched looking carrots and a sad tomato :( .

But rather a plate filled with Color! Textures! And bursts of Flavor!

Some tricks to the trade.   Use veggies, nuts and seeds with different textures and flavors like avocado, raw red pepper, raw almonds or raw cashews, seeds sunflower, or pumpkin seeds, celery, olives.  Also to make it easy on myself i buy pre-washed organic mixed baby greens.  So i get lots of variety of dark leafy greens, and funny furry looking white stuff, and purples.. I get mine at whole foods it like 4 bucks for  a whole tub of organic washed greens.. its awesome!

There are so many benefits from eating salad and with all the raw veggies it gets a little out of control how awesome it is for your body.   But one of benefits i wanted to share was about your hair.  Lettuce adds shine, thickness, and health to the hair.  It does more to promote hair growth than  scalp treatments because it stimulates growth by sending vital nutrients to the roots of the hairs.

Back in 2007 when i was recovering from Cancer and in the process of growing out my hair again.   I started introducing salads into my diet.   I would just have a simple side salad with my dinner at night.   But then as i began to feel better.. i released the power of salad.  I started having it for lunch as a side too.  Now i have totally released the power of salad and its a staple lunch and dinner.   Most days i just have a big salad for lunch :) .

You don’t have to go salad crazy right away.   Maybe see if you can just have it once a week.   Then see if it can make its way into lunch and dinner times.   It wonderful!  Release the Power!!!!!!

Also proof that salad really does help grow beautiful hair.  Check out the video below for proof.
