Weighing in on Weigh Ins

Well, it looks like i”m one of those people who needs to step on the scale every day.  Since deciding to weigh in on Saturdays, I’ve started gaining weight.  Granted, I’m only up 3 pounds from my low point, I”m now 11 pounds away from my goal, and have been stuck here for two weeks.

I’m switching back to daily weigh-ins, hoping it’ll help me resist things like cupcakes, chocolates, and Vietnamese noodles.  I had family visiting from out of town, too, and tend to make poor food choices when I am “celebrating” with guests.  Nonetheless, here’s to this week.  My goal is to lose a pound this week.

On the up side, I finally got around to measuring my waist, which is 31″ exactly.  I compared it to my dress form, which I adjusted in November (and gained weight in December), and the waist on the dress form was 33.5″.  That’s a significant change and I’m very proud of it!  (As a High School Senior, my waist was 28″.)

My mom gave me a huge pat on the back this week about how hard I’ve been working to get fit.  It was so meaningful.  I was bumming about the weight I had gained, and she told me to remember that the scale doesn’t matter.  Why is that so hard to remember sometimes?  I made a huge step this week, taking yoga classes, trying new things, and why am I feeling so blue about the week?  Just because of a stupid number.  Oh well, onwards and upwards!  Just keeping the end goal in mind, playing soccer with Soren.  Running with my son.  Staying focused,
