Okay, I haven’t read the Time article for myself yet, but a client came into my office last week after reading their cover story about exercise with her sails deflated when it came to exercising. To paraphrase the meaning given by my client to the content “exercise does not help with weight loss .”
Hey, I think that any article that gives that impression and leads to the reader being less committed to caring for their body through routine exercise is irresponsible.
The formula for weight loss is very simple - calories ingested is less than the calories burned. Of course exercise and physical activity is related to our body’s weight! As noted in the prior post, I’m a living example of the relationship, as are the many I have known who have transformed their lifestyles into a healthy lifestyle. The results of activity or inactivity are clear.
I was gratified last night when I watched Nightline’s story about a mom and her son who are changing their lives through healthy living (healthy food and being physically active). They were doing what I preach in Best Life in Motion, and it was working.
So there, Time Magazine!
